SPARK IN STOCK CAR CONFIGURATOR™

The Spark In Stock Car Configurator™, SISCC, is a sales tool for selling new and used cars available in stock. It is used by end-consumers, shopping for cars that are available for immediately delivery and by sales professionals that tailor the car for the end-consumer’s particular needs.

The SISCC visualises the car, showing model year, colour, sales version, wheels, engine and interior colours, together with already mounted accessories, as the car left the factory. The user can add additional accessories to be mounted at the dealership and understand how the car will look fully equipped.

PART OF THE ONLINE BUYING EXPERIENCE

The online version of the SISCC is integrated as a part of the “online garage” of vehicles available for immediate purchase. Information such as model, equipment, price, and some pictures of the car is normally available. With SISCC, the web visitor is also given the option to configure the car that is for sale, to better match their needs.

Obviously, only accessories that are allowed on that particular car are made available for selection.

OPTION CATEGORIES AND PRODUCT CODES

When the SISCC is launched on the site, it receives a list of product codes for all the option categories that define the car and visualises it accordingly. This can for example be:

• Model
• Model year
• Sales version
• Engine
• Wheels
• Exterior colour
• Interior trim

These options cannot be changed by the user.

ADDING ACCESSORIES

When the application starts, it shows the car with the current options defined. The user can now add accessories that fit the car. This can be wheels, towbars, or lifestyle equipment, such as roof racks, bike holders or a dog cage, etc. However, not only visible accessories can be added, but also software upgrades, services, etc.

SUMMARY & EXIT

The selected products are collected and shown in a shopping cart with a total price. When finished, the user returns to the main site, where the car is now shown with the added accessories. The main site receives the list of products added in the SISC and can propose appropriate alternative actions to the visitor, such as “reserve the car”, “book a meeting” or “buy”.
